This seems to occur in some applications and not others. After the Text Type command that pastes the text, add a second Text Type command. Make sure that it is set to type the keystrokes rather than play back through the clipboard. Insert a Backspace key in the Text Type command. This will backspace to the previous line.
The macro would look similar to what is shown below:
Text Type (Paste Rich Text): µ
Text Type (Simulate Keystrokes): <BACKSPACE>
