Macro Express cannot read more than 255 characters per INI key
When reading information from an INI file, Macro Express cannot read more than 255 characters per INI key. Why is there a limit?
An INI file can be up to 64K in size and the maximum size of each key is 255 characters (including spaces). Further, INI files only support text. No formatting or special characters such as tabs and carriage returns are allowed.
These INI file limits are imposed by Windows. There is no workaround to extend the size of a value in an INI file but you could use other types of files. You can use a series of regular text files. You could also create Comma Separated Values (CSV) or Tab Separated Values (TSV) files and use the Text File Begin/End Processing and ASCII File Begin/End Processing commands to read from them.
