Macro data that is running locally on a server is copying the macro data to a remote user’s clipboard.
UpdatedNovember 15, 2023
The macro data should only be pasting in the server environment; not the remotely connected user’s environment.
For convenience, programs like Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) or virtual machines (VM) allow a user to copy something to the clipboard from a remote server and copy it to a program on the local computer or vice versa. This is a feature of the RDC or VM program.
Since Macro Express uses the Windows clipboard, if the clipboard contents are shared between a local computer and remote server the contents will be shared by Macro Express as well.
This can be turned of in RDC via the option found under the Local Resources tab. Similar options may also be found within a VM.
