How do I change the speed of the macro after is is recorded?
UpdatedJune 28, 2022
I can't find a way to change the speed of the macro once I have recorded it.
If you recorded the macro with “timing information” then you can adjust the speed. If you had this turned off during the capture, then it is likely going as fast as it can via the keyboard. If you have a long delay up front, then I suspect you may have recorded the timing information. If you pull your recorded macro into the scripting editor, the first or second command will be a macro speed command (if you have recorded timing information). You can adjust the speed here. An alternative to speeding up simple text macros is to use the “Paste Text or Graphics” Quick Wizard. This will prompt you for your text and it will “paste” it in instead of typing it–much quicker.
