Macro Express Pays for Itself in Days, If not Sooner

Kaysville, UT - Insight Software Solutions has released Macro Express v 3.5, a major upgrade to its robust Windows keyboard and mouse macro utility.

A macro is a program that lets you record keystrokes, mouse movements, mouse clicks, and other commands. Later, with a single keystroke, you can play back this string of activities at a much faster speed, eliminating the wasted time and the risk of error that usually accompany the performance of repetitive tasks.

Macro Express' scripting editor uses plain English to create macros. There are more than 25 wizards that make it simple to create macros to launch programs, send e-mail, make file backups, and capture text that you type every day.

For more powerful and complex macros, it's easy to create if/then/else logic that examines variables and makes decisions based upon what it finds. The macros that you create can pause, wait for input, perform loop logic, resize windows, manipulate clipboard data, and make complex decisions.

Version 3.5 includes more than 50 improvements to provide additional power and flexibility. Enhancements to the logic allowing macros to wait until a web page loads in Internet Explorer significantly increases reliability. The copy, delete and rename file commands have been upgraded to better handle large directory structures.

New features include the ability to obtain a file version number to make comparisons of .exe, .dll or similar type files. In response to numerous requests, users can now automatically click on a specific system tray icon, no matter where the icon is positioned. The new Repeat with Processes command will loop through all processes currently running on the computer. During the repeat loop the name of each successive process will be placed in a text string variable that can then be acted upon by other macro commands.
